Founded on September 29, 1922 by Reverend August Hoeger Senior.
First opened to people with physical and mental disabilities before serving the aging.
Ambassador was built in 1964, and purchased by Good Samaritan in 1993.
In 1996 Post-Acute Care Unit was opened!
To provide holistic care to each resident addressing spiritual, psychological, emotional, environmental, and economic strengths, needs and challenges.
To use an interdisciplinary team approach in cooperating with other disciplines and the resident/family in pre-admission, admission, comprehensive care and discharge planning.
Mission Statement:
The mission of The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society is to share God’s love in word and deed by providing shelter and supportive services to older persons and others in need, believing that “In Christ’s Love, Everyone Is Someone.”
