Mission and Goals of Vento:
To provide quality education to ALL children in the area
To achieve the No Child Left Behind mission by reaching the Annual Yearly Progress (AYP)
To have all students attending school
The Social Work Mission:
Provide support and guidance for children with special needs
Work on preparing and monitoring children’s Individualized Education Plans
Teach social skills through group and individual interaction
Clients Served:
Pre K-6th grade
90-95% free & reduced lunch
Students from East Saint Paul School District
Majority of African American, Hmong, and Karen, children although Somali and Caucasion children also attend
